Shakespeare's works
Thinking about probability, if an infinite number monkeys on an infinite number of typewriters would eventually write the complete works of Shakespeare, there is a chance (however small) that a smaller number of monkeys might be able to write a body of work better than Shakespeare's. So really, anything's possible.

Process
I thought I'd document the process I go through to make a finished work of raw genius. For some reason, I can't find my original thumbnails, so here is the next step, my preliminary sketch.
Directly below is the final pencil sketch I used, to get the placement exactly right. I transfer this onto bristol board using a lightbox, then ink it.
Here is the final inked artwork, using a Princeton (cheep!) 5 brush. Notice I left out a few of the letters. That's because these letters appear more than once in the phrase. I can copy them in Photoshop to achieve a more uniform typeface.
This is the finished bit of art. Though I could achieve a similar clean shape in Illustrato, I prefer Photoshop out of habit.
I'll probably continue to tweak this a few more times to make it even more betterer.
Stay posted.

The Love Parade
Welcome to the Love Parade, a blisteringly hot, ear-bleedingly loud weekend-long outdoor event in Bochum, Ruhr, Germany, on August 25 this year, during which parade floats blasting techno and trance music roll down the streets to throngs of drunk, scantily clad European co-eds.
It sounds, at once, like an incredible amount of fun, and a definite physical and mental health risk.

Orphan works
I'm not saying copyright law is perfect, but to turn it over to the private sector (as Congress is suggesting) is a horrible idea. Even artists know what to do with pigs.

Alcohol
A poster for ncadd.org, to raise awareness of the stigma and disease of alcohol and drug addiction. Alcoholism, I've decided, is very uncomfortable.
Originally, my concept was to have the man set up like a ship in a bottle, with a caption on how he got in there when he was little. This looks much better, though.
