New in the March issue of Experience Life!  Food trends come and go like clockwork, but you can always count on them to show up overpricing something exotic.

Long Shot

I really, really, really want Mad Max: Fury Road to win Best Picture at the Oscars this year.  My girlfriend keeps saying it's not going to happen, but that's only because she doesn't think it's as awesome as it really is.

Tampopo

I made a bowl of ramen, the traditional way with naruto and shinachiku root. I plan on making a more finished version of this sketch down the road.

Illustration West 54

One of the most important parts of the illustration business is the Annuals.  Organizations like American Illustration and the Society of Illustrators put out a big fat book every year full of what they consider the best illustration art of the past 365 days.  I've been submitting to a bunch of them every year since college.

I finally got in Illustration West 54, so yay!  It's a sign that the new direction I've been taking is working.
