It's that time of year!  This is just the BACK of my Christmas card this year.  Needless to say, if you receive one, I think you are awesome.  The front, I will post after the holidays, because I am exhausted.

December in Canada

Boxing Day is a national holiday in Canada and a number of European countries in which you leave out presents with your discarded Christmas boxes for the trash man and other municipal workers.

As you can tell from the garbage man's hat and uniform, this is Toronto, and the fat jolly fellow is therefore Rob Ford, Toronto's happy-go-lucky crack-smoking mayor.

It's A Watchmen Christmas Special!

This was originally grim and gritty, with Dreiberg whining about the true meaning of Christmas in the midst of a Black Friday riot, and the Comedian snarling, "You're looking at it," but riots are hard to draw, so instead we get the Li'l Watchmen cast going over their Christmas lists before meeting with Santa Moore.

Also, don't worry about Santa's helper there.  He knows what he's doing.  He's played an elf before.

The Whos: They Are Drawn

Since it's Christmas-y time, and if you're not into that, it's also cold and dark, so you can celebrate that too, I drew two of my favorite Whos: Cindy-Lou and Doctor in what I assume would be the 5th from last page of an imagined adventure romp.  The Doctor would of course, start off his expedition into Who-ville by sampling the best of the local headwear.  Headwear is cool.

I also apologize for the off-model Cindy-Lou.  I was drawing from memory.  But like most Christmas gifts that aren't bowling balls, it's the thought that counts.

Happy Holidays, everyone! Tell us a comic book character as well as a holiday motif you’d like to see said comic book character appear in! Emma Frost meets Frosty the Snowman? Santa and Son of Satan fight some bad guys? Doc Ock and Aunt May under the mistletoe? So on and so forth!

Holiday Energy-Saving Tip #387

You know how when you're wrapping gifts, and you find yourself sitting in a pool of scrap paper about an inch thick because it would be unseemly to have too much wrapping on a gift?

Well, if you're me, you take those scraps and a bunch of scotch tape, and you use it to make what I affectionately call "Frankenpresent."

To show how cheap you really are, you can also use the scraps you saved from birthday presents (given and recieved.) Voila! As long as you don't give anything too big, you never have to buy wrapping paper again.

Christmas Comes Early to DC

For some of us, Christmas came on November 4th, and we got to open presents a little before 11 PM. We had parties and got giddy over the proverbial eggnog.

For others, Christmas comes when Obama Claus comes riding into town on his eight cable news networks and announces that they all get Cabinet positions.

And of course, it's almost like another Christmas comes around on January 20th, when we get the present that we all really wanted.

Eggnog sales are expected to rise exponentially in the coming weeks.
