I wish I could "like" this, Facebook style!
The Giving Tree was the most depressing story of my youth. Or of ever. Your comic captures it well, though I would have appreciated the tree sending fire ants to slowly consume that selfish bastard kid instead.
What Jade said. I didn't discover The Giving Tree until I was a teenager, but I was rather glad I hadn't read it as a kid considering what an ungrateful little sh*t the kid in the story was.
